Yes! [He grabs Richard's wrist.] We should be going.

[This surprises Richard a little, but he makes no move to protest. Lead the way, Isamu!

... before he changes his mind and decides he wants to go back home.]

[As long as he doesn't protest, Isamu will be dragging him to the restaurant.

Not letting go of him the whole way.]

[Protests will only come if Isamu walks too fast or squeezes his wrist too hard. Otherwise Richard finds that contact to be comforting, though he won't say anything about it. He is quiet and obedient for the moment.]

[Eventually, Isamu will tug him into 7th Heaven, where there's a table already reserved for them.

The reserve tag is in Isamu's handwriting, and he'd clearly set it up before going to get his friend.]

[Richard will just raise one eyebrow slightly when he sees that tag, touched despite his bad mood that Isamu has gone to all of this trouble for him.]

Are you sure this isn't a date?

[musubi]

Reserving a table doesn't make it a date. Now sit.

[And sitting obediently! He's more curious than anything else as to what Isamu has planned, but if his friend brings out a band to serenade them or something, he's leaving.]

I wanted to try something, so I cooked dinner myself.

And you're gonna eat it even if you don't like it.

You cooked it all by yourself...?

[He's not entirely sure he heard that right because... it's Isamu. Willingly doing something that involves a considerable amount of effort and isn't either his job or something that will benefit him. That is definitely unusual.]

[musubi]

Hey, I work in a restaurant. I cook all the time. Don't act so surprised.

[Sanji makes sure he does it right, too.]

And you usually have Sanji breathing down your neck while you do so.

You think I can't do it without constant supervision?

We'll find that much out in a few moments.

Damn right we will.

...Now don't you dare run off while I go and get it.

[As he if trusts some other waiter to bring out his food.]

Would it help if I gave you my word?

[See? He's being good and not moving. He's not going to leave.]

[Isamu pauses, as though actually giving this some thought.]

...Nah.

Be right back.

[And he wanders off... to return shortly with a covered tray.]

[Well now, this is treatment he never expected to receive here in Luceti. He can't help but peer curiously at that tray, wondering just how much effort Isamu put into all of this.]

[Isamu raises the lid to reveal a large sushi tray. He grins.]

Do you have any idea how long I've wanted to have one of these put together here? I don't know how popular sushi is in your kingdom, but this is all the best stuff right here.

Hardest part was the eel. I can't even claim to be an unagi chef, but I don't think it came out too rubbery.

[... that is a lot more effort than he had been expecting and Richard is suitably impressed, plus touched that Isamu would do all of this for him.]

It's popular enough, and even if it weren't, that doesn't mean I wouldn't be able to appreciate just how much work this must have taken you. Thank you, Isamu. I truly mean that.

[He sets the tray down completely, taking a seat across from his friend.]

Unfortunately, I won't be able to eat all of it. So you better help out.

I'll do my best.

[And he will! There's no way he could not eat the food Isamu made for him, even though his appetite is still lacking.

He'll select a few pieces to start with and then just sort of nibble at them-- he is trying, really! And to show this he'll give his friend a little smile]

This is delicious. Are you sure this is the first time you've tried making sushi?

Let's say it's the first time it's come out presentable and leave it at that.
