[Even drunk as he is, there's a part of him that's horrified at his own behavior right now, but it (along with his better judgment) is being drowned out by the effects of the alcohol.]

[Finally Richard just slumps, looking defeated.]

Even after all these years, after everything Asbel has told me... I still don't know how to be a good friend.

[He reaches over again to rub Richard's back with one hand. His whole manner softens again.]

Let's get you to bed. We can deal with this mess you made tomorrow.

[This time Richard allows that contact, though his muscles still remain tense under Isamu's touch.]

[Richard opens his mouth as if to protest, but the migraine that's rapidly starting to set in is enough to change his mind about that. Instead, he just nods.

Screw pajamas, he's just going to be fumbling off everything but his pants, flopping onto the bed, and curling up in a ball. He can move to the other room tomorrow when he doesn't feel so awful.]

[Isamu will soon lay down beside him soon, wrapping an arm around his waist as though in reassurance.]

[For all the protesting he'd made about being touched earlier, there doesn't seem to be much fight left in Richard on that front now. Instead, he curls into that touch and that warmth with a quiet sigh. He's never been very good at being alone, no matter how much he may try to insist that he's fine with it.]
