[It's a clear autumn day, with crisp air and blue skies-- the perfect weather for taking a long walk, which is exactly what Richard is out doing right now. Only, well, it's less of a walk and more of a patrol of sorts, just in case. Not that he actually expects to find Naoki, but it can't hurt to keep an eye out anyway. He'll be wandering around pretty much all over town, out into the forest, and finally back to Apartment 23, where he's been staying for the past few days.

Anyone who spots him will probably notice that he looks somewhat tired and in less of a good mood than he usually is.]

[Emma isn't out doing anything fascinating herself. She's getting shampoo, soap, plastic bags, plastic gloves...all sorts of cleaning supplies that she can find, and maybe a little food. Cleaning supplies are more important, though. It isn't until she's on her way back that she runs into Richard. It takes her a moment to recognize him from a few of their conversations over the journal, however.]

[When he notices her, his expression softens a bit, though it takes a moment for him to recognize her and recall her name as well.]

Yes. That's me. Oh, you can call me Emma, though. Just Emma.

[She switches the bag she's carrying over to her other hand. Running into people still has her a little fidgety.]

How are you today?

Emma, then. I'm doing quite well, and yourself?

[Just ignore the fact that he looks pretty tired here. He notes the slight fidgeting, but he isn't going to say anything about it just yet.]

[On the way back to the apartment at the end of the day, he might just run into Isamu. He'll be coming back from the grocery store.]

[Richard greets him with a bit of a strained smile and a nod. He'd been planning on stopping by the store himself, but he's been so distracted lately that it had totally slipped his mind. Good thing Isamu wasn't quite as absent-minded as he.]

I'd almost forgotten that we needed more food.

[He shrugs.]

Yeah, well... [He'll be hungry if he comes back.]

[His eyes darken for just a moment.]

[Forest may get him a Ted who will more likely than not end up losing Naoki when he finds him resting against one of the trees. With Aldo off to who knows where and Naoki and Helios missing, Ted wasn't too keen on staying around an area surrounded by empty rooms. So! He will be resting, and spotting Richard, waving at him.]

[The smile Ted gets is a tired one, but he is genuinely glad to see his friend, especially since he knows that Ted is missing Naoki as well. He's a little bit impressed by how his boyfriend has managed to make so many friends here in Luceti.]

[And then he pauses, noticing that eyepatch.]

... yes, I'm fine, but what about yourself?

[While Richard's making his way through the forest, he may notice some suspicious rustling nearby. Whatever could it be?]

[At that sound Richard will pause, hand drifting to the hilt of his rapier almost automatically.]

[Another rustle, then Lambda steps out of the bushes. His eyes are on Richard's sword, but he's not particularly worried; he's confident enough he can dodge if the King reflexively takes a swipe at him. Meanwhile, Richard may notice that Lambda is incredibly dirty. His hair's unkempt and his clothing stained. He really hasn't been taking care of his body.]

Richard. [He's using his real voice again, instead of the Humanoid's kid voice. It's just easier for him.]

[Lambda won't have to worry, because as soon as Richard sees who it is, his hand is falling away from his sword and he's kneeling down with a concerned expression. He's... a bit concerned by Lambda's filthy condition, especially because he can't tell if the Humanoid is ONLY dirty or worse.]

Lambda... what happened to you?

[Richard doesn't really have to worry either. His body's still moving to its optimal capabilities, because it's all completely waterproof and the filth can't get stuck in his joints or anything. Lambda's not sure what it is that warrants that concerned look on the King's face.]
