[Fortunately for Yuri, Richard will get to the door before any of his housemates, thus sparing the man the joys of meeting Pascal or Isamu. Not that he doesn't like them, but... yeah. Not exactly the best first impressions there.]

I presume you're here to meet Isabelle?

[Too late when it comes to Pascal, Richard - although, that was quite a long time ago. Still, when Richard gets to the door and says that, Yuri nods.]

That's right.

She's out in the backyard for the time being-- follow me and I'll show you.

[And shutting that door behind him before Pascal or anyone else gets wind that he has a guest. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.]

All right then.

[And he'll just go ahead and follow. Sorry that he's so non-talkative at the moment, Richard, but his regal-bearing sensors are pinging just ever so slightly now that he's seeing you in person - it happens when you live around a princess for years.

Maybe he'll be less cold when he sees this motorcycle-horse or whatever Haruhi was trying to use as an example for this thing.]

[It's probably a good thing that Richard is used to being treated with some degree of distance back at home, then, so he doesn't even see anything unusual about this. Rather, he's just going to think that Yuri is the quiet type, which is just fine with him.

He'll just lead Yuri around to the back, where said motorcycle-sized dragon is lounging beneath a tree, tethered to it by a rope that honestly doesn't look strong enough to hold it there should the creature really want to escape. Fortunately it doesn't seem to have any interest in that; when Richard walks up to it, it raises its head to give a lazy yawn of greeting to him.]

Yuri, this is Isabelle. Isabelle, this is Yuri.

[When Yuri rounds the corner and sees what he what his mind immediately tells him is a monster, his hand does automatically move toward his sword. ... But seeing how the dragon is tied up and doesn't seem to give a hoot about anything around him - not to mention how relaxed Richard is acting around it - Yuri relaxes.

A little, anyway. Seeing Emil's little chimera is one thing, but this is a dragon. Kinna hard to not be a bit on edge.]

... Well, assuming it doesn't plan to eat me or anything, I guess a 'nice to meet you' is in order. [Sarcastic delivery there, sure, but whatever. He looks over at Richard.] You think you can get it to open it's wings? I need to see the span on them.

Don't worry-- I think omelettes are more to her taste than humans are.

[... Sophie may have been feeding the dragon. Sometimes. Okay, maybe more than sometimes, but that's a minor detail.

When Yuri makes the request, he nods, turning to Isabelle.]

Certainly. Isabelle, would you mind spreading your wings for Yuri? This will only take a moment.

[And sure enough, the dragon opens her wings, complete with another yawn to show her distaste at the idea of snacking on humans.]

Heh. It'd be nice if all dragons thought that way.

[Okay, he's relaxing a bit more now, at least. Once Isabelle spreads her wings, though, he studies the wingspan as best as he can, taking a few steps to the right or left to make sure before nodding.]

... All right, I got it. I'll try to give her a little extra space in the stable on top of that, so it's not too cramped in there.

I take that to mean you've encountered ones that didn't?

[Truth be told, so has he, but he tries to avoid thinking about the monsters from his world as much as possible. He'd rather not be reminded of the fact that he had a hand in the sudden increase in the world's monster population.]

I hope I'll at least be granted visiting privileges when she's settled in her new home. She seems to have taken something of a liking to me during her stay here, and I'd hate to not have a chance to see her again.

Something like that.

[He usually killed things like this on a semi-daily basis and he really doubts Richard wants to hear the recounts of that.]

Well, I'll try to avoid putting padlocks on the stable doors, then. Anything beyond that is none of my business.

That's good enough for me. I suppose I'll have to speak to Haruhi about the visiting privileges themselves.

Guess so.

[w e l p. He'll turn away after saying that. He's done here, so he figures he might as well just go ahead and leave.]

Well, thanks for letting me see her on such short notice.

[That's fine by Richard; there's no other reason for Yuri to stay, after all, unless he wants a cup of tea or something.]

Not at all. I should be thanking you for making a more permanent home for her. I'm sure she'll be happier living there than she will in my backyard.

Hopefully so.

[Walking away, and a short backhanded wave to go with that.]

I'll contact you when it's ready, if Haruhi doesn't do it first.
