[It's still strange, having people show him genuine concern without wanting anything in return. Even though he knows that his status doesn't matter here in Verens, he's so used to just expecting that people are treating him kindly in order to get something out of him that he still isn't entirely sure what to feel when he realizes that they aren't trying to use him.]

There is something I've been wondering about, however. That transformation you underwent before you grabbed me... what exactly was that?

It's....complicated, but the best way to explain is I have unique psychic powers. My clothing sometimes changes when I use them.

I've read many stories with heroes who were able to do such a thing, but I never dreamed that I would be able to meet one in person!

Oh, an honorific. My country uses honorifics where a Western country might use "Mister" or "Miss".

No apologies needed. From what I've heard, Richard is something of a common name there as well. It's funny how those things work, isn't it? To think that someone from a world I'd never even heard of until I came here could have the same name as me...

Funny, but I find it strangely beautiful, too. There are countless worlds out there, but something as simple as a name transcends that.
