[Anyone near the western edge of the village this afternoon might spot a young man in the garb of a New Feather staring at the village with a bit of a perplexed expression, one hand resting on his hip. It's pretty obvious that this isn't where he'd been a few hours ago (the wings would be perhaps the biggest hint of that), but what he's not sure about is whether he's still in Windol or not.]

This isn't Lhant, and it's too big to be Ohlen. [He shakes his head.] Where in the world am I? And what happened to Asbel, Sophie and Miss Pascal...?

[OOC: Wanted to get him settled in before all of the chaos with the Remnants goes down! Also, if you haven't already tagged his permissions post, please do so to make things easier for me.]

Yeah, isn't it? [He grins for a few seconds, before turning back to more serious business.] Anyway, we should probably get you to the Welcome Center. It's pretty cold out here and I'm guessing you could use something to eat.

I'm not sure if the Welcome Center has clothes or not, but if they don't, there's always the clothing store in the village.

Free? But then how does the economy function without a system of exchange?

There really isn't much of an economy. Items appear in the store, we take them, items are automatically refilled, we take them... It's a pretty easy concept.

But those items have to come from somewhere, and the people who supply those items have to be paid somehow.

I'm not really sure where the items come from, but- [he breaks off, shaking his head. This isn't going to get them anywhere.] Hold on...

[La la la, flipping through his journal. When he finds the page with the guide for New Feathers, he holds it out for Richard to take.] Read this.

[He'll take the offered journal and begin reading... that's a lot of information to take in all at once, but if he's startled by it, the only way it shows is in his slightly raised eyebrows and the fact that his mouth is set in a grim line.]

[He'll patiently wait for Richard to finish reading. He knows better than to bother a New Feather while they're trying to process what they've just landed themselves into.]

... so there's no way for me to return to my world, or even contact Asbel or the others.

Nope, there isn't. Sorry about that. There's a chance they might appear here later on, but you're better off being reunited with them when you get sent back home.

Richard. It's nice to meet you, Vyse, even though the circumstances aren't exactly ideal.

You'll get used to the circumstances in a few months. Meanwhile, I should get you back to the village so you can get some rest.

Thank you. Let's hope that I'm not here long enough to get used to the circumstances in the first place, though I suppose I should find somewhere to stay in the meantime.

There's plenty of houses and apartments to choose from. You could get a room mate if you'd feel more comfortable with that, though.
