[WET TONGUE. WET TONGUE ALL OVER HIS FACE WHAT DO. Richard has never really interacted much with dogs before, much less puppies, meaning that he's a little startled at first... but when Asbel starts laughing, he can't help it-- he begins to laugh as well, which just serves to make the puppy bark excitedly.]
[It's just too funny to watch. After a minute, Asbel stops laughing enough to reach out and pet the puppy's back, soothing him down enough so he'll stop pouncing Richard so much.]
[Aww, but Richard kind of liked the puppy kisses. Okay, so they're a little stinky, but the puppy itself is absolutely adorable and he just wants to keep petting it forever.]
He's perfect. Thank you, Asbel... this is the best present anyone has ever given me.
[He's clearly touched, and it shows. This isn't just some obligatory gift, it's something that came from Asbel's heart, which makes it worth that much more to Richard.]
[That gives him pause, and he looks down at the puppy. He's not exactly the best with names and he knows it, but more than that, there's a sense that this is something he can't mess up. It's the puppy's NAME. He has to get this right and pick something fitting, but what? Oh, he knows.]

But all the same, as soon as Richard lifts the box lid, he is indeed going to get a face full of corgi puppy. Tiny, floppy eared, fluffy corgi puppy.
And there is going to be a lot of laughing from Asbel.]

You're welcome! I'm really glad you like him.
[Asbel is grinning from ear to ear.] You get to name him too.

... Sir Finnegan.
[He turns to Asbel with a smile.]
What do you think?

But it looks like he picked one.]
I like it! [Better than Tiger Festival!]

It's personal.

[He looks down at the puppy, prepared to jokingly ask if he agrees...
... except that the puppy is currently in the process of making an excited puddle on the bed. Whoops.]
Finn, no!

Sorry, I forgot he's been cooped up for a while!

Perhaps we should take him out for a walk before he does any more damage.

Let me strip the covers off the bed, and I'll meet you outside.
