[Action]
[It's late in the afternoon when Richard awakens in the middle of the forest, clad only in the pair of white pants given to all New Feathers when they arrive. As if that weren't bad enough, it's currently raining, and he's disoriented and confused and why does his back hurt and where is he? There's something strangely familiar about this situation, though. He feels like it's happened before, but his memories are fuzzy and he can't seem to remember anything beyond... beyond...
And then, very slowly, like water trickling through a crack, it begins to come back to him. He's been here before. Twice, in fact, over a year in total, and Asbel and the others are here as well. He needs to find them.
So he'll be making his way through the forest - he remembers enough to follow the river, at least - to the village, feeling decidedly uncomfortable at exposing so much skin (he's royalty, this isn't proper, even if he's done it here before) and spending a few confused moments trying to remember where the clothing store is so that he can retrieve his own clothes.
That accomplished, he sets out for the house... only to realize that he can't remember which house it is. With only a vague memory to guide him, he wanders the streets until one house feels more familiar than the others. Let's just hope he's got this right.
And so it is that Richard opens the door to House 28, soaking wet and still trying to remember everything, but glad to be home.]

[He smiles now, some of the tension dissipating from his body.]
Thank goodness. Then I truly can be thankful that I was able to come back.

They arrived almost two months before I left, which would mean I must only have been gone for a few days...
[That's... hard to believe. Six months back in his world and only a few days here? Then again, it was a similar situation the last time he'd been sent home as well.]
There doesn't seem to be any way to predict how the flow of time in our world corresponds to the flow of time here.

[Hold on, she needs to stir that curry before it burns.]

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to distract you from dinner.

[Thankfully, she made it just in time. She quickly turns the stove down to let the curry simmer for a bit longer and turns her attention back to Richard.] Either way, I'm very glad to see you again, Your Majesty. I'll be sure to set an extra plate for you.
[She won't be making assumptions about where Richard will live, but he should at least join them for dinner.]

[Richard is also dripping wet, which is becoming evident by the trail of water leading from the door to where he is standing and the small puddle forming around him. He doesn't seem all that bothered by this fact, though.]

How about you go freshen up? It will be a while before dinner is ready, and in the meantime you can go see Asbel and the others. I'm sure they'll be happy to know you've returned.
no subject
Do you know where Asbel is? I was hoping to ask if I could borrow some of his clothing until my own dries, but if he isn't here, I'll just have to ask after the fact.

And my room...?
[He suspects it's probably not his room anymore.]

[And hopefully Pascal did not say anything to Cheria about catching him cuddled up to Isamu in bed, because he does not want things to get awkward this soon.]

She turns her attention to the curry again, stirring it with a slow pace.]
How long have you known Sir Isamu, Your Majesty?

... it's been almost a year now. He arrived here a few months after his best friend from his world. That friend and I became very... close, so it was only natural for the two of us to become friends as well.
[Omitting a few choice details, like just how close he and Naoki were, and the fact that Isamu kind of hated him at first. He can reveal those facts later.]

I first arrived in Luceti last March, though I've gone home twice since then, for several days each time.

She gives Richard another smile.]
Well, you can tell us all about your experiences in Efinea later. Right now, you should go dry yourself off. I wouldn't want you to get sick because of my curiosity.
