[Voice/Action] (backdated to Christmas morning)

[There are the sounds of a somewhat muffled conversation in the background before Richard picks up the journal to address it, a clear undercurrent of happiness and slight excitement to his voice.]

So this is what they refer to on Earth as a "white Christmas." I've read that this sort of Christmas is the best kind to have despite the weather... what do all of you think? Do you prefer the snow, or would you like a sunny day?

[He'll be sitting on the couch sipping a cup of tea while he waits for answers-- and his housemates, because IT'S CHRISTMAS AND HE IS EXCITED due to not having this holiday in his world. Might as well enjoy it while he's here, right?]

[Oh? The blushing and making a startled noise against Richard's lips reaction?]

[Yes, exactly that, and he may be laughing at that now because it's adorable.]

[...mollified, he leans into the touch with a murmur.]

[A sudden surge of affection fills him and he smiles, eyes softening.]

Naoki, I...

[Naoki returns that smile, lifting a hand absently to cover Richard's.]

Mm?

[He's about to ask what could possibly be the most important question of his entire life...

... and then the full realization of just where they are and what they're doing hits him, and... this isn't exactly the right place for that kind of thing, is it?]

... I'm so very lucky to have you.

[Hmm, was that what he was going to say, really?

Naoki leans in, nuzzling at his cheek.]

Same here. I'm too lucky to have someone like you, Richard.

[Richard turns his head a little to return the nuzzling, still smiling. Okay, so maybe he doesn't have the guts to go through with it just yet, but this is still nice.]

No, I'm luckier.

[Naoki laughs, good-natured, and closes his eyes, lips lingering against his cheek.]

[Richard echoes that laugh and just wraps his arms around Naoki to hold him there.]

[Naoki leans in to touch a lingering kiss to his lips.]

Merry Christmas, Richard.

[...oh. He should probably move soon from where he is, shouldn't he. He shifts his hips slightly.]

[That motion prompts a small, disappointed sound, but Richard knows they will eventually need to separate, as nice as this feels. He won't protest if Naoki wants to move, though... he's happy to cuddle or spoon as well.]

[Naoki would be content to stay like this--if he didn't know it'd lead to him wanting to do it again. He bites his lip, shifting and pulling out of him before settling next to him and looping arms around his waist.]

[There's a small part of Richard that finds it amusing that despite being the taller one, he usually ends up cuddled up with his head on Naoki's chest-- not that he minds at all. It's comfortable, and that way he can listen to Naoki's heart beating as he falls asleep.

That's all the incentive he needs to curl close and tuck his head under the other's chin, stifling a tiny yawn as he does so.]

[Naoki murmurs, tangling their legs together and tightening his arms around him, liking the closeness and the warmth. And blond hair that he can nuzzle into. He grazes a kiss to his temple, smiling sleepily before closing his eyes.]
