[Voice/Action] (backdated to Christmas morning)

[There are the sounds of a somewhat muffled conversation in the background before Richard picks up the journal to address it, a clear undercurrent of happiness and slight excitement to his voice.]

So this is what they refer to on Earth as a "white Christmas." I've read that this sort of Christmas is the best kind to have despite the weather... what do all of you think? Do you prefer the snow, or would you like a sunny day?

[He'll be sitting on the couch sipping a cup of tea while he waits for answers-- and his housemates, because IT'S CHRISTMAS AND HE IS EXCITED due to not having this holiday in his world. Might as well enjoy it while he's here, right?]

[The look on Richard's face should be answer enough to that. Sleeping in on Christmas? Not allowed.]

[Isamu's not getting as good a wake-up as Naoki did, that's for sure.

Mwaha. Naoki grins and stands, offering a hand to Richard.]

[Richard returns that smile with one of his own before he takes that hand and stands, amused. This is totally a great way to wake up, what are you talking about.]

[Naoki grins, tugging at his hand as he leads the way toward the stairs and to Isamu's room. Nothing like being woken up by your two overenthusiastic housemates.]

[And if they're quiet enough, Isamu won't even know what hit him.

Just making his way up the stairs with Naoki now...]

[Hehehe. Naoki pauses by Isamu's room, grinning, and then sneeeakily opens up the door, peering inside.

Waking up housemate is go?]

[Isamu is sleeping like the dead and has no intention of waking up any time soon.]

[All the better for Richard to sneak in and make his way over to the end of the bed, then, plotting his method of attack.]

[Sneaking inside as well, pausing and glancing at Richard with a grin. Naoki shifts. Oh, he's probably just going to jump on the bed.]

[Isamu won't even stir until someone makes a move.]

[Richard looks over at Naoki with a grin...

... and said move is about to be made in the form of Richard LEAPING ONTO ISAMU. MERRY CHRISTMAS, HOUSEMATE, NOW WAKE UP.]

[SORRY ISAMU, NAOKI IS ALSO JUMPING. Though will not flatten you.

...plz to not be punching him.]

[Sorry guys. There are certain dreams that still hound this teen, and certain reflexes that still kick into action when woken that suddenly through physical contact.

Isamu's eyes snap open and he immediately swings wildly at Richard, still not fully awake.]

[... not as planned. Richard is fast enough to duck that punch so that it only grazes his shoulder, but it's pretty easy to tell that this isn't a "get the hell off me, guys" swing, but a "I'm being attacked and am freaking out over it" swing. Richard is quick to shift gears, reaching for Isamu's arm to try to get him to lower it while addressing him.]

Isamu, it's just us. It's all right.

[Naoki moves quick enough so he's not looming over his friend at all (knowing that won't help any), blinking rapidly.]

Yeah--just us. [A beat.] Sorry.

[Isamu stops, panting, heart racing, and stares at the two of them for a few moments as the gears in his head slowly start turning properly.

Finally he frowns, looking confused.] ...What're you two doing on my bed?

We were trying to wake you up for Christmas.

[But he sounds slightly apologetic as he says this.]

I'm sorry, we didn't mean to frighten you like that.

[Naoki looks down sheepishly and rubs the side of his neck.]

Yeah--sorry, Isamu.

Frighten? [He doesn't even seem to recall what he did, and only now realizes that Richard is gripping his arm. He pulls it away]

Eh. S'fine. [He smirks a little as he wakes up a bit more.] Figures you guys had to make a big deal out of the holidays.

This is the first time I've ever celebrated Christmas, so I wanted to make sure it was done properly.

[... if there even is such a thing as "properly" when it comes to Christmas celebrations. More like he's just excited.]

[Now Naoki grins. Richard's excitement is infectious, what can he say.]

I'm sure you got enough sleep anyway, Isamu.

[He yawns and rubs at his eyes.] Don't be stupid. you can never get too much sleep.

Which is why you were still fast asleep on Christmas morning?

[...Naoki was too, but we're not going to talk about that. |D]

You can nap later if you get too tired. [Giving you hair-musses, Isamu.]
