[Voice/Action] (backdated to Christmas morning)

[There are the sounds of a somewhat muffled conversation in the background before Richard picks up the journal to address it, a clear undercurrent of happiness and slight excitement to his voice.]

So this is what they refer to on Earth as a "white Christmas." I've read that this sort of Christmas is the best kind to have despite the weather... what do all of you think? Do you prefer the snow, or would you like a sunny day?

[He'll be sitting on the couch sipping a cup of tea while he waits for answers-- and his housemates, because IT'S CHRISTMAS AND HE IS EXCITED due to not having this holiday in his world. Might as well enjoy it while he's here, right?]

[Richard rolls slightly to the side to sit back up as well, slightly reluctant to leave the warmth of the bed. Oh well. Maybe they can retreat to it to snuggle later, or drag the comforter out to the couch and pull Isamu into the pile with them as well.]

[Naoki scoots to the edge of the bed with a yawn and another stretch, flexing his fingers before standing.

Without even thinking about it, he offers a hand to Richard.]

[Likewise, Richard takes it without thought, standing up and tossing his hair back over his shoulder as he does so.]

[Naoki kind of--watched that. Don't mind him and his fascination with your hair, Richard. Giving his hand a warm squeeze and leading him out into the living room now]

[Oh, Richard knows, and he may have done that on purpose. He has plans for later, oh yes he does, but for now he's content to let Naoki lead him out to the living room and the fire that's going in the fireplace.]

[So sly, Richard~

Naoki pauses by the fire and takes a seat on the couch, content to let the heat wash over him. Never mind that he doesn't need it, warm as he is. He gives Richard's hand a gentle tug to urge him down to sit next to him.]

[Richard doesn't even need to be urged to sit down and lean close, still keeping his hand in Naoki's. The snow still falling steadily outside makes the perfect backdrop to this scene-- this is exactly the sort of Christmas he's read about in books, and actually getting to experience it himself with the people he loves is making him incredibly happy.]

[Naoki leans back against him, turning his head to nuzzle at his hair gently in affection. He remembers last year's Christmas here in this place and this one? Beats it by a mile. Even more so. His eyes drift to the window and the snow falling, and he hums low in his throat.]

...that's going to make delivering presents today kinda tricky.

You were planning on going out in that?

[There's a slight note of disapproval in his voice, because that's a pretty heavy snowfall out there. He's disappointed that means he probably won't get to visit Asbel and Lambda today, but safety comes first. Of course, something tells him Asbel will probably show up on the doorstep, snow or not.]

Mm, well, I was planning to go out, yeah...

[He glances over as he picks up that note of disapproval and quirks his eyebrows. Somehow he had a feeling Richard wouldn't approve of him going to deliver presents in a snowstorm.]

...should I leave it until tomorrow?

That might be the best idea, especially if it's just going to get worse later on.

[Don't mind him putting his head on your shoulder while he watches that snow. It's peaceful, sure, but not something he'd want to go out in, and he doesn't want Naoki to be out in it either.]

Then I guess I'll just have to stay home...

[Like he minds. Naoki wraps his arm snugly around him and nestles his cheek into soft blond hair.]

You won't hear any protests from me, and likely not from Isamu either.

[Snuggling and tea and a fire in the fireplace and presents? Yes please.]

I would hope not.

[Naoki laughs and turns his face into Richard's hair, closing his eyes. He breathes in his scent contentedly. Best Christmas ever already.]

Mmm. I think Ted would get mad at me too if I went out in this to give him his present.

[Likewise, Richard just nuzzles Naoki's shoulder and lets out a happy, content sigh.]

I wouldn't be surprised if Asbel stops by for a visit in spite of the weather.

[Naoki closes his eyes contentedly, hand stroking absently over Richard's side.]

Then we'll have to have some tea ready to help him warm up.

And I suppose you expect me to make it for him.

[He's in a playful mood, which means teasing.]

Hey, I don't mind making it.

[He keeps his eyes shut, nuzzling Richard's hair absently.]

[Who is the wife here again, Naoki?]

I'm glad to hear that. In that case, I'm sure you won't mind making breakfast and dinner either.

[... he's totally going to help out.]

[It is rather hard to tell sometimes, eh?]

Heh--if you really want me to, I will...but in a while. I'm feeling lazy right now.

[So lazy, boyfriend. But Richard doesn't mind, because he's feeling exactly the same way, so Naoki will just be getting a kiss in response.]

[Naoki curls his fingers under Richard's chin, urging him in a bit closer to deepen that kiss.]

[Naoki, they're in the living... oh, who cares. Opening his mouth to allow the other to deepen that kiss as much as he wants.]

[Who cares? Not Naoki, that's who. He slips his tongue into Richard's mouth with a muted noise, pulling him closer.]

[That action prompts a low, muffled sound of pleasure as Richard shifts closer, arms winding around Naoki's neck to kiss him more deeply.]
